Best Beaches for Young Kids in Kauai

1.Hanalei Bay

This ones a drive, but its a MUST DO for me! The beach is gorgeous, and I love the drive through Hanalei area.

2. Poipu Beach

This one is so close to the Grand Hyatt Kauai, and you can rent snorkeling gear at the Surf Shop next to the parking lot.  They even have cheap meal at Puka dog in the Parking lot.  You can snorkel with young kids (with just goggles and swim shoes too).  The waves are not rough, and you will probably see big turtles on the beach especially at Sunset. We saw colorful fish, turtles, and a Monk Seal!

3. Lydgate Beach

This one is super soft waves, and we snorkeled here too and saw fish around the rocks on the sides.  This one is nice because the bottom is all sandy instead of rocky like Poipu. There are awesome playgrounds here and we enjoyed eating at Lava Lava Beach Club after this. We also dropped off our laundry at Plaza laundry, and it was done after the beach and lunch!
